Paznauntal area is one of the most popular areas of Tyrol, also called Mallorca of Tyrol. Within this area there are many resorts: Ischgl, Galtür, Kappl and See. St. Johann in Tirol is one of the largest and most popular ski resorts in Austria, situated in the valley Leuken between Kaisergebirge Mountains (2344 m) and Kitzbühler Horn (1996 m). The average altitude is 660 feet. The resort has 45 km of ski slopes, a few cable car starting stations which take tourists to the surrounding mountain peaks, and a huge slope for track skiing, a historic center with pedestrian area, a wellness center with indoor swimming pool and parks.
Walchsee is a small village situated on the shore of lake with same name and surrounded by massive mountain ranges like Wildkaiser and Zahmkaisers. The resort has in the area over 200 km of paths for walking and climbing, facilities for water sports (sailing, fishing, windsurfing) and, last but not least, large ski counties (over 140 km of slopes).
Kossen resort, designed especially for families, is located between 600 and 1700 m altitude, and has over 55 km of slopes, served by 10 cable transport installations. The longest slope is remarkable: Talabfahrt, 7 km, with a level difference of 1000 m. For skiers there are different types of slopes, part of one of the biggest ski networks in Europe.
